So often, at the end of any educational learning and training, it can feel like an unstable cliff suddenly emerges. “This is the end, now what?” Erickson+ cradles this potential fall by acting like a bridge towards continued coaching confidence, additional skills and learning, and the opportunity to connect with more of the positive, like-minded community you have already begun to join.
What is Erickson+?
Technically: Erickson+ is a custom Erickson social network and resource app that is free to all Erickson-trained coaches globally. It can be accessed through your desktop or mobile device.
Metaphorically: You can think of it as an online University Student Center, a Solution-Focused space, away from the classroom, where all of Erickson’s graduates continue learning, developing, and growing towards greater success and mastery…together.
After all, as Marilyn Atkinson writes, mastery is the state of being effortless, graceful and satisfied while performing a task on an unconscious level with a beginner’s mind and a willingness to still learn.
Why Did Erickson Create Erickson+ ?
The alumni whispers were gathering volume and consistency, "I'm not sure what to do now?" "How can I keep coaching as I'm beginning to find clients?" "How do I stay in touch with this community?" "I want to continue learning."
Personally, I was one of those whisperers. I was a delighted passenger on a joyful coaching train and it seemed to just…stop. This group of people that I had forged deep (and fun!) bonds with went their separate ways. All this new and exciting knowledge was floating around in my brain without a direction. How could I keep this momentum going? As an adult learner, I knew it was ultimately my responsibility to carve my own coaching path, and I did. And, if only a place existed where the 'coaching music' and energy that I experienced could still be played and expanded.
Like any good coach…Erickson listened, and Erickson+ was born.
How Can Erickson+ Allow a Better Coach to Emerge?
