At Erickson Coaching International, our use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is guided by our mission to foster transformational change through human connection. We are committed to ethical innovation that protects the rights, privacy, and experiences of all our stakeholders - including learners, faculty, partners, and team members - while also enhancing learning, increasing value, improving knowledge retention, and delivering the highest quality of education.
Our goal is to thoughtfully integrate AI in ways that enhance the overall experience, increase engagement, improve knowledge retention, and deliver the highest quality of education and support. We believe that AI, when used responsibly, can elevate our work, extend our impact, and deepen the value we offer across our global community.
1. Transparency
We commit to clearly communicating when and how AI technologies are used in our offerings. When our stakeholders interact with AI - whether in the form of automated feedback, chatbots, or other educational tools - they will be informed in an open, accessible manner.
2. Privacy & Security
We adhere to Canadian and international data protection laws to ensure personal information remains secure. All data used in AI development or deployment is handled according to our Privacy Policy and Learner Terms & Conditions, ensuring informed consent and responsible anonymous data usage.
3. Fairness
Erickson actively works to prevent bias in our AI models, honoring our responsibility to uphold the true spirit of Solution-Focused principles. We continuously review and refine our AI systems to ensure they reflect fairness, respect diverse perspectives, and support meaningful, values-aligned learning experiences.
4. Accountability
AI systems at Erickson are guided by consistent human oversight. We conduct regular quality checks and manual reviews to ensure our AI-powered services remain accurate, relevant, and aligned with solution-focused principles.
5. Reliability & Safety
We rigorously test AI features for safety, performance, and reliability. When integrating AI into learning environments, we ensure it enhances the experience without compromising the core coaching relationship or human connection.
6. Human-Centered Design
AI at Erickson exists to amplify, not replace, the power of human coaching. Our technologies are designed to support coaches and learners, encouraging insight, self-awareness, and real-world action. By following these principles, Erickson Coaching International, aims to use AI in a way that is ethical, fair and transparent. We believe this will help us innovate and build trust with our customers and community.

Specific AI Goals
At Erickson Coaching International, we’re thoughtfully integrating AI to enrich learning, empower coaches, and increase the impact of our programs. Here's how we’re making it happen:
1. Enhanced Learning Experiences
Our Learning Deepening Bot allows learners to chat directly with course content—asking questions, exploring real-life applications, and even discussing how to earn with coaching skill. It’s a personalized, on-demand companion that helps make learning stick.
2. Improved Operational Insight
By analyzing anonymous learner feedback and engagement data, AI helps us fine-tune our programs—ensuring content is relevant, meaningful, and truly transformational.
3. Supported Coaches
We're developing a Coach Co-Pilot to assist during sessions - helping coaches stay fully present while receiving real-time support and insights that fuel long-term client success.
4. Accelerated ICF Competencies
In progress: Erickson's Mentoring Support Bot - a smart digital tool designed to help students prepare for sessions with a mentor. This bot allows learners to self-assess their ICF coaching competencies in a structured way, simulating the kinds of reflective conversations they'd have with a real mentor. It’s not meant to replace mentors, but rather to make mentoring sessions more focused, insightful, and valuable.
5. Practical Coaching Business Essentials Bot
Available already and free with the course, the Practical Coaching Business Essentials Bot is trained on course content to help coaches turn their skills into a profitable business. It offers quick access to insights, lets learners interact with the material, brainstorm ideas, and refine their strategies based on expert advice from the course.
