Halka Balackova, MBA

Halka graduated as plant biotechnology engineer in 1991, and completed her MBA at Durham University Business School (in UK, in 1994). In the beginning of her career, she led a number of marketing and development projects for Apple Computers, Botanicus, CNP Consulting, Andersen Consulting, Zeneca, and CS-Project.

She has further developed her professional background in the coaching courses provided by The Institute of Systemic Experience, Prague, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, UK, Videotraining (SPIN CZ), and others. In 2006, she completed The Art and Science of Coaching (TASC) followed by The Training the Trainers for Coaches and NLP in 2007, and The Advanced Spirit of Coaching and Dreams and Metaphores in 2008 under the leadership of Marilyn Atkinson, PhD. Erickson College, Canada. Since 2008, she is one of three teachers of ICF certified programme The Art and Science of Coaching for the Czech and Slovak Republic.

Since 2001, she works as an independent trainer and coach. She led a large number of different training and coaching programmes working both with individuals and teams. Her area of specialisation is helping small and medium enterprises to set up their vision, mission and strategy and help them to grow and develop in a long term sustainable way.

She works with such clients as Ogilvy&Mather, OgilvyOne, Ogilvy Interactive, Mather Communication,GSK, Sanofi Aventis, Philip Morris, Aspire Sports Brno, MindWare, Komterm, GSK, Novonordisk, Bosh, Deloitte, etc.

In her free time, she trains Aikido (2nd Dan Aikidó Hombu Dojo), and leads Aikido Ikeda Dojo, Prague as an executive director and instructor specialised on Aikido and Seitai (health supporting gymnastics system.

She speaks Czech, English, French and Russian.
